about
This song was written a long time ago when things were also very tense in our country. We felt we could take this opportunity to give back in a time we need to come together most. The lyrics of this song reflect our views of how heart breaking it is to see those on the left and right fight when fires rage hurricanes ravage and bullets fly. The proceeds from the purchase of this single will go to help those lives lost and injured in the Las Vegas Shooting. God bless.

lyrics
Oh!
What happened here?
This was a legacy.
And now the culprit is spreading words like travesty.
Oh!
What can we do?
His words have so virtue.
And now the people are spread like a canyon.
I hear the slander back and forth,
Belittling each other with no remorse.
I hear the slander back and forth,
Where is the hope we were reaching for?
This is my Home
These are my people.
I won’t let this hit
I won’t give into the hate.
This won’t be the end
no this won’t be our fate.
Oh!
Here we are again
We put our faith in a win
When we knew there would be
Hell with either outcome
I don’t want to say
That I am afraid
But I fear for those fighting in the streets now
I hear the gun shots back and forth
Slaying each other with no remorse
I hear the bombs drop back and forth
What happened to the country I am longing for
Let my people love
Let my people sing
Let the songs of peace be sung
This is my Home
These are my people.
I won’t let this hit
I won’t give into the hate.
This won’t be the end
no this won’t be our fate.
This is a plea
For my country
Don’t let this canyon of hate
Be what the world sees.
